A search engine for the feeling of a film.
Kino Klub is an app for finding film stills by mood rather than by title. Built for designers, art directors and image collectors, it turns cinema into a living reference library, on iOS and desktop.
The search starts with a feeling. Describe a sensation, a light, an atmosphere, and the app returns the frames that hold it, each with a note on why it matches. Feeling Threads link stills across films that share the same emotion, and any selection can become a moodboard on an infinite canvas, with an automatic palette, annotations and exports to PDF, Figma or Keynote.
The project began in 2020 as my Designlab capstone, born from a simple frustration: there was no way to search cinema the way we remember it, by feeling. I returned to it six years later with a full redesign, extending it to desktop and keeping the visual system quiet, in black, white and grey, so that colour comes from the films alone.
